Building Compliance Consultancy

With 200 or so regulations and with more than 60 Approved Codes of Practice to consider, all having different duties and inspection requirements, preventing injury and ill health in the workplace can be challenging for many businesses. Building Compliance Ltd work with facility managers and duty holders to identify their responsibilities and put effective compliance contracts into place.

Display Energy Certificates

All larger public buildings require an annual Display Energy Certificate (DEC) highlighting their energy performance. This is to be displayed prominently in a place visible to the public. Our accredited energy assessors can carry out this service and also offer advice on how to reduce your energy bills and improve your operational rating.

Energy Performance Certificates

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rates how energy efficient your building is using grades from A to G (with ‘A’ the most efficient grade). An EPC is required on construction or when a building is sold or let. Building Compliance Ltd are registered commercial energy assessors and carry out this service in-house.

Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme

ESOS is a mandatory energy assessment scheme for organisations in the UK that meet the qualification criteria. The Environment Agency is the UK scheme administrator. Building Compliance Ltd are registered Lead Assessors for ESOS through the Chartered Institute Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and have assisted organisations such as Quinetiq and Credit Agricole Investment Bank meet their compliance requirements.

MEES Regulations

From the 1st April 2018 Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards have been introduced and affect commercial property as well as residential property. Building Compliance Ltd work with commercial landlords to work out the best way of improving a property if it falls below the E rating and can help organise the most cost effective improvements.
